Nearly 135 days after Russell Martin's first press conference as Rangers head coach, his replacement the German coach met with the media at Rangers' stadium for the initial occasion.

The magnitude of the task ahead of him is widely recognized, considering his predecessor's chaotic and disappointing 123-day tenure.

The ex- Sheffield Wednesday manager was joined by chairman the chairman, along with the much-criticized pair of sporting director Thelwell and CEO Stewart.

However, what precisely was revealed from the 36-year-old coach's maiden media outing as Rangers boss?

The Manager's Primary Focus - Winning is Everything

One thing came through loud and clear from the new coach's initial presentation before the Scottish media - he understands the need to win matches, and do so rapidly.

His predecessor Russell Martin managed just 17 matches and four months as manager, so the question emerged about how long Rohl believes is reasonable to transform the struggling squad.

While skillfully sidestepping a specific response that could bring later expectations, Rohl's communication was quite clear.

"Hopefully as soon as possible," he stated. "That is essential.
"In this business you have not much time. One can talk about long-term vision but we know it concerns immediate results and that period is about securing victories. This is what I demand.
"Another aspect is also obvious - I require all players to comprehend how we want to play. I come back to my primary message: it's winning, entertaining football and unity. By following this order, I'm convinced that I'll stay very long at the club."

Expectations are Standard

The previous manager needed a police escort to exit the Falkirk Stadium after his final match as manager.

We've seen how toxic situations can become at football clubs when results are poor. Demonstrations have almost become an expected aspect of game day experience on each part of the city these days.

As the club's most youthful manager in history, the question was posed about which attributes the coach thinks he has that would enable him to handle, let alone excel, in one of the most pressurized positions in British football?

"I think expectations in football is normal," he stated. "You must learn that rapidly.
"I think certain individuals might mention my youth but I have been 16 years in this career. I had a great opportunity to be at Bayern Munich and serve as only an assistant manager, but I experienced the reality to be a head coach and the pressure you face.
"When you start getting results and then some critics will say you must produce entertaining football. That becomes the stage but that's exactly what I want. I enjoy that challenge and I look forward for what's ahead."

The Sporting Director Explains Striker Acquisition & Appointing His Son

Kevin Thelwell media conference

There were plenty of inquiries from the media for Thelwell.

Much discussion has concerned the appointment of his son as head of recruitment, with fans unconvinced about his credentials for the position.

Nevertheless, he defended and clarified the decision to recruit Thelwell Jnr to the club.

"It remains uncomfortable to hear and optically I believe we all agreed when we made this step to appoint Robbie that he would be viewed negatively," Thelwell said.
"The reality of the situation is that we aim to attract the top players here.
"My perspective on his professional path and background is he required no my assistance in football.
"He served at Villa as head scout, after which he joined Norwich City as scouting chief and then was elevated to development role.
"Before we recruited him, multiple Premier League teams sought to acquire him. What we did right at the start of the process was discuss with the CEO, Andrew and deputy chairman Marathe about this matter.
"I remained extremely transparent and I think Robbie probably underwent a stricter procedure than anybody else employee by the team.
"What I do know is that he'll labor 25/8 to achieve success for this football club and I anticipate to him proving that he's going to be a valuable staff member for Rangers."

Thelwell also supported the acquisition of forward Youssef Chermiti, who joined Rangers for a reported first payment of £8m, after failing to score in 24 games for Everton.

The sporting director who transferred the Portugal youth international to Liverpool from Sporting Lisbon - again for large funds in a fifteen million pound deal.

He was asked if he stands by his expensive purchase, who hasn't yet score in seven matches for the club.

"Yes, very much so," Thelwell responded. "I think Youssef Chermiti is a player who's possesses huge potential.
"I've never doubted him whatsoever. Again, I believe the manager will assist in get the best out of Youssef.
"It's very initial stages for him, he remains promising prospect and of course with young talents they occasionally require patience.
"But I'm certain over the course of his career here he's going to prove that he's a very, very good player."

Stewart Understands Supporters' Frustration and Anger

The chief executive was facing firing line, considering the criticism that has been aimed his way by certain of the club's fans.

Additionally, there was a banner in the Sandy Jardine stand during the recent draw with Dundee United inviting Stewart - and Thelwell - to pack his bags before being removed for him.

Like his sporting director, the CEO did not avoid the topic.

"I completely understand the frustration and hurt that fans are experiencing because results this season haven't met expectations and no one is satisfied with those," he stated.
"The hurt and frustration fans experience is mirrored within the leadership.
"Recognize that there must exist a channel for that dissatisfaction and as chief executive, I'm responsible.
"I'm a lightning rod for such issues and my responsibility as a
